Neiman Marcus recently had their 100th anniversary bash — a sparkly, black-tie gala night at the legendary luxury store's hometown headquarters in Texas. The six store floors eached offered their own party themes, menus, and exhibits as they welcomed guests from such walks of life as Texas high society, magazine editors, stars, and internationally known designers.
Tadashi Shoji, looking worldly regal in a vintage formal Chinese robe and scarf, recalled his first-time showing during New York fashion week last month. Was the Los Angeles-based designer nervous? "Maybe a little," he confessed. "But it was worth it."
